Public Library Data Tables available
In 2020-2021, Florida public library staff answered over 10 million reference questions.
Over 70 million items were checked out from public libraries, not just books, but also telescopes, cooking pans, bird-watching kits and pressure washers.
Public libraries offered 94,489 programs at the library and another 29,529 virtual programs.

Many of these resources and programs are funded under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Florida's LSTA program is administered by the Department of State's Division of Library and Information Services.
