The Division is responsible for preserving and promoting Florida’s historical, archaeological and folk culture resources.
Florida has many rich and varied traditions related to food. Throughout the year and around the state you will find festivals and fairs celebrating all manner of produce and other agricultural products. At the Florida Department of State, the Florida Folklife Program is dedicated to collecting and preserving as much of Florida’s vibrant folklife and traditional culture as possible.
