MEDIA ADVISORY: Fiesta Florida: A Hispanic Heritage Celebration

The Florida Department of State’s Division of Cultural Affairs invites the press and public to the Museum of Florida History for an evening celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with live music and dance lessons Friday, September 26. Admission, parking, and the program are free.

  • Live music from the Carlos Odria Trio
  • Latin dance lessons with the Azúcar Dance Company of Florida State University
  • Introduction to Latin American wines with Whole Foods Market
  • "The Rise of Latin Music in the U.S. and Florida: From the Peanut Vendor to the Miami Sound Machine" presented by Dr. Tim Storhoff
