Florida CARES Grant Program
The Florida Department of State Division of Cultural Affairs is the recipient of funding through the National Endowment for the Arts as a result of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Since this is a very limited amount of funding, we have worked with leaders in the field and decided to emphasize trying to help our grantees as quickly and simply as possible.
The Florida CARES program will be carried out through one-time grants with no match requirement. The funding allocation will be based on prior panel adjudication that determined Fiscal Year 2019-2020 General Program Support grants. Awards will begin at $1,000 and total no more than $3000 each. While we wish these could be larger grants, we know that every dollar counts and are hopeful that additional funding may be made available in the future.
All applicants must be exclusively Fiscal Year 2019-2020 General Program Support grantees of the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs that are NOT public entities or multipurpose public or private nonprofit organizations, including support organizations for these entities. Please see “Applicant Eligibility” in the PROGRAM GUIDELINES for more information.
Support is limited to any or all of the following:
- Salary support, full or partial, for one or more positions that are critical to an organization’s mission.
- Facilities costs such as rent and utilities.
