2020 - 2025 Strategic Plan Listening Sessions
The purpose of the Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs Listening Sessions was to gather feedback from as many stakeholders as possible to help inform the Division's strategic planning process. Local arts agencies and cultural organizations are uniquely positioned to listen to and then share the ideas of a broad cross-section of our communities—from the business community to artists.
Interested organizations were asked to conduct up to 5 Listening Sessions and include individuals from the various Division stakeholder groups including:
- Arts and Cultural Organizations
- Local Tourism Offices
- Destination Marketing Organizations
- Chambers of Commerce, including ethnic chambers
- Business Community
- Education-related Organizations
- Board Members
- Local Arts Agency Staff
- Elected and Appointed Officials
At the conclusion of the Listening Sessions, the host organizations reported the stakeholder group's perspectives and comments. The results from these listening sessions were used to facilitate conversations with key stakeholders.
Listening Sessions were held statewide March 25 - April 5, 2019.
