MEDIA ADVISORY: Secretary of State Ken Detzner to Hold Media Conference Call on Election Day

Tallahassee –

Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner will be holding a media conference call tomorrow morning to discuss Florida’s 2016 Primary Election at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time.

During the conference call, Secretary Detzner will share standard status updates from the counties and resources for voters on Election Day. Florida’s preliminary election results will be available on Election Night on the Florida Election Watch website, enight.elections.myflorida.com. Please be aware that while Florida polls close at 7 p.m., Florida has two time zones. Voting will not be completed statewide until 7 p.m. CT/8 p.m. ET, at which time, election results will be released. 

Results for the Primary Election will not be official until the Elections Canvassing Commission meets on Thursday, September 8. Any additional media availabilities will be noticed tomorrow.
